KITCHEN ASSISTANT

Job Description

• Assist in daily kitchen opening and closing duties, including cleaning and preparation work
• Handle food preparation such as cutting vegetables, marinating ingredients, portioning, thawing, and restocking supplies
• Support kitchen operations during peak hours to ensure smooth and timely food preparation
• Assist other stations or departments when manpower is insufficient
• Follow food hygiene and safety standards at all times
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisors

Job Requirement

• Able to work long hours standing in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Comfortable working in hot, oily, and busy conditions
• Willing to overtime, weekends, and public holidays when required
• Good teamwork and positive working attitude
• Able to follow instructions and adapt to operational needs
• Able to maintain efficiency and composure during peak operating hours
• Must understand and be able to follow food hygiene and kitchen safety practices
• Preferably with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a kitchen or F&B environment
