JOB SCOPE
The Kitchen Assistant may be assigned by and rotated on any of the following duties:
MEALS SERVICE OPERATIONS
- Receive, sort, and store deliveries and in-coming food and ingredients supplies
- Prepare and cook rice, porridge, or dessert according to the planned menu
- Prepare Meat, fish, vegetables, and fruits according to the menu or as instructed by the Supervisor.
- Mince, blend, or puree food for residents on special dietary needs.
- Prepare, load, and clean food trays, equipment, and service trolleys before and after each meal delivery.
- Wash and clean the food preparation area and ensure they are clean and hygienically safe for use.
- Dispose of all rubbish or waste to the Bin Centre.
- Assist to receive stocks and check for defeats, malfunction, or damage on kitchen fittings, equipment, and furniture designated for the kitchen.
OTHERS
- Any other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor or Management Team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- NITEC/Secondary School /SPM/GCE O Level
- At least 1 year of cooking experience in kitchen environment e.g. restaurant or hawker centre
PROFESSIONALLICENCE
- Food Hygiene Certificate from NEA
OTHERS
- Keen to learn new skills in cooking
- Able to contribute and work as a team
Working hours/shift: 6 days/8hrs
- D0(5.00am to 1.00pm)
- D1(5.30am to 1.30pm)
- D2+(8.15am to 4.15pm)
- E1(10.45am to 6.45pm)
