Our client is a travel essentials company and they are looking for a Key Account Manager (Modern Trade) to drive strategic growth across major retailers, travel retail channels, and other key partners. You will be responsible for owning the full commercial relationship, developing sales strategies, and ensuring strong instore execution across assigned accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow key modern trade accounts, ensuring strong business performance across major retailers, travel retailers, and strategic partners.
- Lead negotiations, and promotional strategy across categories.
- Develop and execute account-specific plans that drive distribution, visibility, and sales uplift.
- Monitor category trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to identify growth opportunities.
- Partner closely with supply chain, marketing, and merchandising teams to ensure flawless execution of promotions, product launches, and in-store activations.
- Track account performance and provide business updates, forecasts, and insights to internal stakeholders.
- Drive merchandising excellence through regular store checks, ensuring planograms, POS materials, and product availability meet brand standards.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with buyers, category managers, and retail partners.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Key Account Management within Modern Trade, FMCG, consumer goods, lifestyle products, or travel retail.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing negotiations, trade spend, and account profitability.
- Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into business insights and action plans.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with a track record of influencing stakeholders across different levels.
- Strong execution mindset - proactive, organised, and detail-oriented.
- A self-starter who enjoys autonomy and takes ownership of results.
