About the role
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Key Account Manager (KAM) to manage, grow,
and optimize relationships with our key retail partners. This role requires strong commercial
acumen, deep understanding of the beauty/skincare retail landscape, and the ability to activate
plans that maximize brand visibility, sell-through, and profitability. You will act as the bridge
between our brands and our partners, ensuring seamless execution, operational excellence, and
sustainable business growth.
Main Responsibilities
Account Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building long-term relationships based on trust and performance
Understand clients business needs and provide tailored solutions and proposals
Ensure alignment with clients on brand strategies, priorities, and promotional calendars.
Resolve day-to-day issues related to stock, operations, invoicing, or merchandising.
Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue and market share
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the brand portfolio.
Work with clients to secure prime product placement, retail activation slots, and campaign visibility.
Track and analyze weekly/monthly sales performance to ensure KPIs and targets are achieved.
Implement initiatives to improve sell-in and sell-through, including bundling, sampling, and seasonal promotions.
Commercial Negotiation
Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and promotional planning
Manage account-level budgets, ensuring clear ROI on trade spend and marketing investments.
Evaluate financial implications of agreements to support sustainable partnerships.
Cross-functional Coordination
Work closely with marketing to execute brand campaigns, product launches, and retail activations.
Align with supply chain and operations teams on forecasting, stock replenishment, and inventory accuracy.
Coordinate with the finance team on payment follow-ups, invoice reconciliations, and account profitability.
Ensure timely delivery and execution of merchandising materials, testers, and visual displays.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
Prepare account performance reports, forecasts, and business reviews for management
Gather feedback from clients to support product development, assortment refinement, and marketing decisions.
Identify market gaps and recommend strategic actions to expand distribution and improve brand positioning.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other ad hoc duties or projects as required to support business needs.
Preferred Candidate
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
35 years of experience in key account management, sales, or beauty retail highly preferred
Proven track record of managing major retail or B2B account
Strong understanding of skincare/beauty trends and customer behavior
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Highly organized and able to manage multiple brands, launches, and deadlines
Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools is a must
Willingness to travel for store visits, trainings, and partner meetings
