Key Account Manager (Contract Logistics)

Overview
This role focuses on analysing customer requirements, designing efficient warehouse solutions, and leading pricing and proposal development for regional and cross-border projects. The position requires strong analytical capabilities, project coordination skills, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders from concept to implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead warehouse solutioning and pricing support for regional RFQs, including multi-country tenders and cross-border warehousing projects.

• Analyse customer operational requirements and translate them into efficient warehouse layouts, workflows, and cost models.

• Work closely with local teams to validate cost assumptions related to labour, space, utilities, systems, and overheads.

• Ensure pricing proposals are competitive, profitable, and operationally feasible.

• Partner with country teams to consolidate inputs, validate local costings, and align regional proposals

• Act as the regional point of contact between business development, operations, IT, and finance for warehouse solutioning matters.

• Review and reconcile actual operational costs against proposed pricing models.

• Analyse historical bids versus actual performance to improve solution accuracy and costing methodologies.

• Support customer meetings, presentations, and clarification sessions throughout the tender and solutioning process.

Requirement:

• Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

• About 5 - 7 years of experience in contract logistics, warehousing, logistics solutioning, pricing, or key account management.

• Experience in freight forwarding and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) will be an advantage.

• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities (e.g. pivot tables, costing models).

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Detail-oriented, well-organised, and able to manage multiple RFQs and projects concurrently.

• Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build long-term internal and external relationships.
