KDB Developer

KDB+ Developer, eTrading

We are hiring a KDB+ Developer to join an eTrading technology team.

This is a hands-on development role focused on building trading scripts, tools, and data logic used in electronic trading. It is not an infrastructure role and not a dev support role.

Responsibilities

• Develop q / KDB+ scripts and tools for eTrading
• Build trading data logic across pricing, market data, execution, and analytics
• Work with real-time tick data, trade data, order data, and pricing data
• Develop queries, reports, data checks, and trading workflows
• Work closely with traders, quants, and eTrading developers
• Improve performance of KDB+ code used in live trading environments
• Build and enhance tools used for intraday trading analysis
• Support low-latency trading requirements

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with KDB+ and q
• Experience developing for eTrading or front-office trading teams
• Good understanding of low-latency trading environments
• Experience with market, tick, pricing, trade data, or execution data
• Strong Linux skills
• Ability to write fast, clean, efficient q code
• Good understanding of time-series data and real-time trading workflows
• Comfortable working directly with traders, quants, and desk-aligned developers

Useful Skills

• FX, equities, rates, futures, commodities, or cross-asset trading experience
• FIX, RFQ, pricing, order flow, execution, liquidity, or algo trading knowledge
• Python, Java, C++, shell scripting, Kafka, Solace, or similar technologies
• Experience in banks, hedge funds, prop trading, exchanges, or market infrastructure firms
