The Role

This role sits within the regional Finance Business Services (FBS) team, supporting consistent and efficient financial accounting and reporting across APAC. The position acts as the local accounting in charge and a key finance business partner, providing reliable financial data and insights to support business decision making.

Key Responsibilities

You will take full ownership of the month end and year end financial close for Singapore market, overseeing day to day accounting operations across AP, AR, and GL. The role is accountable for the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, statutory reporting, and compliance with local, regional, and global requirements.

Business partnering & Leadership: As a trusted partner to the Market CFO and regional stakeholders, you will provide insights on financial performance, highlight operational gaps, and propose improvement actions. You will also lead and develop a high performing local finance team while fostering strong collaboration across the FBS network.

Audit, Tax & Treasury: The role serves as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and local authorities. Responsibilities include managing statutory audits, corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, transfer pricing matters, and coordinating treasury activities such as banking operations and dividend payments.

Internal Control & Risk Management: You will play a key role in strengthening internal controls and risk management, ensuring compliance with internal policies and local regulations. This includes conducting risk assessments, coordinating insurance programs, supporting audits, and providing basic finance and ICRM training to stakeholders.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate holds a university degree and a recognised professional qualification (Chief Accountant, CPA, CA, ICAA or equivalent), with at least 7 years of relevant experience, hands on exposure to accounting operations and a corporate finance environment, and solid expertise in end to end financial accounting and reporting. A strong understanding of ERP systems, local market requirements, and business operations is highly advantageous. Fluency in English is essential, along with analytical and problem solving skills, a collaborative mindset suited to a matrix organisation, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with attention to detail in a fast changing environment.
