  • Own revenue growth by identifying high-potential opportunities and proactively guiding top-tier Japanese cross-border sellers-leveraging trusted relationships-toward key strategic initiatives such as market entry, category expansion, and investment acceleration.
  • Develop high-level sales and marketing strategies (e.g. campaign nominations, account growth plans) aligned with business direction and growth opportunities.
  • Utilise data and analytics to uncover performance trends, adjust strategies, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Key Account Managers by setting clear team and individual KPIs, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance through strong role modeling.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on client success, continuous improvement, and shared ownership of goals.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive strategic growth-working cross-functionally with teams such as Marketing, Product, Operations, and Logistics to align and execute market/category-level strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7-8 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Bilingual in English and Japanese to facilitate seamless collaboration with sellers and regional/internal stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in key account management, sales, or business development-ideally within e-commerce, cross-border trade, or tech-with a strong business acumen and history of exceeding growth targets.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Deep understanding of cross-border eCommerce dynamics and growth-driving strategies.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities to empower and uplift team performance.
  • Highly analytical and strategic, with the ability to leverage insights to drive results.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and adaptable, with a bias toward action and innovation in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills, grounded in a customer-centric mindset.
