Junior Veterinary Technician

Role Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Junior Veterinary Technician to join our team at our small clinic. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals who are keen to develop their clinical skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assist Veterinarian with patient consultations, treatments, and diagnostic imaging.

-Provide compassionate nursing care for hospitalized patients, including feeding and medication administration.

-Monitor anaesthesia and assist in surgical and dental procedures.

-Run routine laboratory tests (blood work, urinalysis) and interpret basic results.

-Manage day-to-day reception duties, client enquiries, and medical record updates when necessary.

-Maintain clinic hygiene, equipment sterilization and inventory stock-take.

Requirements:

-Minimum Diploma in Veterinary Medicine or a related field is preferred.

-Prior experience in animal handling is preferred but not compulsory on-the-job training will be provided.

-Strong communication skills and a positive, willing-to-learn attitude.

-Working days Monday to Friday, Saturday only if necessary.
