We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Naptha Trader, Junior for one of our clients based in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for trading fuel oils, developing trading strategies, and maximizing profitability while managing risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute physical and paper trades in naphtha markets, including spot and term cargoes
- Develop and implement trading strategies to capture market opportunities and maximize profitability
- Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparties, including suppliers, customers, and shipping partners
- Coordinate closely with refining, operations, risk, and shipping teams to ensure smooth execution of trades
- Monitor market trends and fundamentals, providing regular market insights and analysis to management
- Negotiate commercial terms and ensure accurate contract execution and documentation
- Liaise with headquarters on refining programs, cargo loading schedules, hedging strategies, and vessel chartering
- Ensure compliance with internal risk limits, and contribute to P&L reporting and performance analysis
Job Requirements
- Bachelor&aposs degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in energy trading
- Extensive knowledge in refining operations, cargo activities and freight chartering
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
