I am looking for a Junior Trader to provide support to the Lithium Trading team and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the desk, including physical trading, derivatives operations, and market research.
about the job
- Manage contract flows and post-deal operations while developing and maintaining relationships with lithium refineries and customers, particularly in China
- Build financial models, conduct due diligence on industry assets, and provide transaction support to evaluate longer-term structured deals
- Maintain fundamental supply and demand models for lithium products by building databases tracking trade flows, mine supply, and end demand
- Execute derivative transactions, manage trade entries into CTRM and risk management systems, and provide P&L and quantitative analysis
- Prepare daily/weekly market reports, quarterly/annual forecasts, and explanation materials for management and external clients
- Travel regularly for site visits and industry conferences, manage internal projects, and utilize generative AI tools to creatively improve workflows

skills and experience required
- Bachelor's degree in business, international trade, or a relevant major
- 1-3 years of work experience in the finance industry, ideally in equity research, sales, corporate finance, or trading-related roles
- Experience working with corporate clients, preferably with exposure to China or international markets
- Good communication skills in English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively with China-based customers and counterparties
- Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, systematic, and capable of managing multiple projects or transactions
