Role Overview
The Junior Technical Program Manager (Robotics) supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of robotics and UAV programs. This is an entry-level role designed for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about robotics and autonomous systems.
Working closely with Technical Program Managers and engineering teams, this role focuses on learning program management fundamentals while contributing to project coordination, documentation, and technical support activities across the program lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination & Support
Assist in coordinating robotics and UAV projects across engineering, operations, and product teams.
Support the preparation of project plans, timelines, and task tracking.
Help maintain program documentation, meeting notes, and action items.
Track progress of tasks and follow up with team members to ensure timely completion.
Technical & Engineering Support
Work with engineering teams to understand system components including hardware, software, and firmware.
Assist in basic system integration tasks, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
Support documentation of system architectures, test results, and technical processes.
Participate in technical discussions to build understanding of robotics systems and workflows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with different teams (software, hardware, operations) to ensure smooth communication.
Assist in organizing meetings such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and project reviews.
Help identify and flag potential risks or blockers to senior team members.
Client & Stakeholder Support
Support preparation of presentation materials, reports, and technical documentation for clients.
Attend client meetings as needed to take notes and track follow-ups.
Assist in gathering and organizing client requirements under guidance from senior team members.
Field Deployment & Testing Support
Assist in preparation for field tests, pilot deployments, and system validation activities.
Support on-site or remote testing, data collection, and basic troubleshooting.
Help document test outcomes, issues encountered, and lessons learned.
Learning & Continuous Improvement
Actively learn about UAV systems, robotics platforms, and program management practices.
Contribute to improving internal processes, templates, and documentation.
Seek feedback and mentorship from senior team members to grow technical and coordination skills.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Strong interest in robotics, UAVs, or autonomous systems.
Basic understanding of engineering concepts (software, hardware, or systems).
Good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have
Internship, academic project, or coursework related to robotics, UAVs, or embedded systems.
Exposure to tools such as ROS/ROS2, ArduPilot, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).
Basic knowledge of project management concepts (Agile, Scrum).
Experience with version control (e.g., Git).
