Junior Tech Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst, you will be involved in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology from project initiation through requirements gathering, application development, implementation, maintenance, and post-implementation review.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise extensively with external and internal clients, as well as vendors.

• Participate in design thinking sessions and requirements discussions with customers. Conduct requirement analysis to ensure the feasibility of functional specifications. Highlight requirement gaps, disproportionate development efforts, technical challenges, and other potential issues.

• Translate user requirements into use cases and technical solutions.

• Present and communicate functional requirements and use cases to the technical and development teams to ensure the system meets both functional and system requirements.

• Engage customers to explain the rationale behind architectural selections or other technical considerations.

• Prepare documentation such as requirement specifications, functional specifications, design specifications, enterprise-class structures, data and application management frameworks, interface specifications, infrastructure requirements, and data migration approaches. Work closely with customers for documentation review and sign-off.

• Prepare system training materials and conduct training sessions for customers.

• Develop test plans, test cases, and test results, ensuring traceability to requirements for comprehensive test coverage. Validate test outcomes against customer expectations.

• Perform functional and backend testing, review results and logs, resolve test issues, and ensure application quality.

• Conduct test briefings for stakeholders and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Assist in troubleshooting system issues faced by the project team and customers, and follow up until resolution.

Requirements:

• Experience working in the banking domain will be an advantage.

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 1.5 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst and tester experience in a Java environment is a plus.

• Strong analytical skills with persistence in following up on reported issues until resolution.

• Experience in issue/problem management and change management processes.

• Ability to analyze system backend logs, perform data mapping, and categorize data.

• Capable of performing functional and backend testing while ensuring traceability to requirements.

• Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude.

• Creative with excellent presentation, writing, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, including strong persuasion skills and attention to detail.

• Well-versed in Jira and SQL.

• Ability to work under tight timelines and demonstrate strong commitment to project completion.

• Strong customer service orientation and presentation skills.

• A good team player.
