Junior System Designer

We are looking for a motivated Junior System Designer to support our design and engineering team in delivering high-quality AV solutions across corporate, education, and commercial projects in Singapore. You will work closely with Senior Designers, Project Engineers and Project Managers, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle- from concept and design to site implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Senior System Designers in the design, recommendation, and evaluation of AV and UC system solutions.
• Support the preparation of AV design documentation, including audio, video, control, and basic network schematics.
• Assist in the preparation of Bills of Materials (BOM), technical specifications, and submission documents.
• Support AV proposals and tender submissions in accordance with client and consultant requirements.
• Participate in project coordination meetings with internal teams, consultants, vendors, and clients when required.
• Assist in organizing and preparing system demonstrations or solution presentations.
• Conduct site surveys, site measurements, and basic site evaluations under supervision.
• Support the preparation of functional drawings, connection-level diagrams, and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate design updates and revisions with Project Managers and Sales teams.
• Attend site coordination meetings to gain exposure to installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Keep up to date with AV technologies, industry standards, and product developments.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, or related disciplines.

• Candidates with ITE (NITEC / Higher NITEC) qualifications and relevant experience are welcome to apply.

• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1-2 years of relevant experience in AV, ELV, IT systems, or technical roles.
• Basic understanding of AV systems, including sound reinforcement, video display, control systems, and conferencing solutions.
• Familiarity with AV manufacturers such as Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Poly, Cisco, or similar brands is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting tools is preferred (training will be provided).
• Understanding common AV drawings such as schematics, layouts, RCPs, and shop drawings is an advantage.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical and design skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Able to work independently under guidance and perform well in a team environment.
