Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising staff during food preparation and service.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team on menu development and seasonal offerings.
  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals during service periods.
  • Handle kitchen issues and resolve minor conflicts or challenges during shifts.

Job Requirements

  • 6 years proven experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 2 to 3 years in a supervisory or senior cook role.
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in culinary arts or food safety is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
