Job Summary
Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations by planning and directing food preparation, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement in food quality and service to maximize customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead kitchen operations by assisting the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation to meet operational goals
- Ensure strict compliance with mandatory hygiene and safety standards to maintain a safe kitchen environment
- Monitor and enhance food quality and service standards to consistently achieve high customer satisfaction
- Supervise and support the training of new kitchen employees to build team capability and maintain performance standards
- Apply expert knowledge of food preparation and cooking procedures to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes
- Foster a positive, energetic, and collaborative team atmosphere to enhance productivity and workplace morale
- Take full ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities, ensuring timely completion according to kitchen schedules and quality standards
- Perform additional related duties as assigned by the Supervisor to support overall kitchen effectiveness
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 4 years of related experience demonstrating capability to manage kitchen operations effectively
- Ability to remain responsible, organized, and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment under pressure
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of work quality
