The Junior Sous Chef plays a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen, supporting the team in delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. Working closely with the Sous Chef, you will help coordinate daily operations, maintain standards, and step up to lead when required, all while fostering a collaborative and high-performing kitchen culture!
We are looking for someone who is
- Experienced in Western and / or Local cuisine
- Passionate about food and culinary excellence
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and consistency
- Maintain hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards
- Proactive, with strong coordination skills
- Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays (no midnight shifts)
Key responsibilities include (but not limited to)
- Assist in supervising and coordinating daily kitchen operations within the outlet
- Support the Sous Chef and assume responsibilities in their absence when required
- Oversee and guide assigned kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and performance
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion standards
- Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and wastage
- Ensure compliance with all hygiene, safety, and government regulations
