Junior software engineer (Java)

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a development team building scalable web applications and integrating enterprise systems.

You will work closely with stakeholders and developers (both local and offshore) to design, build, and deploy containerized applications while ensuring high performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements, timelines, and delivery plans

• Develop and deploy containerized web applications

• Implement REST APIs, WebSocket services, and backend integrations

• Integrate applications with messaging platforms and databases

• Write unit tests, technical documentation, and deployment configurations (Docker Compose)

• Work closely with distributed development teams to deliver features and resolve issues

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software development

• Strong experience with Java (Quarkus preferred) or Node.js

• Experience building web applications and APIs

• Hands-on experience with Docker or Podman

• Experience integrating with messaging systems (Solace, IBM MQ, Kafka)

• Good knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL, and JDBC

• Experience with REST APIs, WebSocket, JWT authentication, and web caching

• Understanding of Agile development methodologies

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with AngularJS or modern web frameworks

• Familiarity with Flutter/Dart for mobile web delivery

• Exposure to Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift environments
