Role Details
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Scientific Support Specialist to support our customer in the Baby Care R&D Testing Laboratory. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with laboratory standards and guidelines, while providing technical and operational support in accordance with SOPs.
Job Description
- Provide high level of customer focus and responsiveness, including direct interaction with clients and their operational teams.
- Implement quality management systems to ensure results and team performance meet SOPs, safety, and quality requirements.
- Participate in cost, quality, and efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and cross-train staff with standardized training programs and documentation.
- Coordinate timely calibration of laboratory equipment and maintain good housekeeping standards.
- Supervise and assess project execution resources, reviewing workload adjustments with managers and customers.
- Review sample receiving, submission, and completion status.
- Manage disposal of uncollected or expired samples, products, and chemical waste.
- Document test results promptly, conduct peer reviews, and assist in operational deviation and OOS reports.
- Maintain consumables, reagents, and chemical inventory, including support for calibration, maintenance, and user records of laboratory equipment.
- Perform stability sample management (pull in/out of stability chamber) and ensure cleanliness of Baby Care storage areas.
Requirements
- Diploma in Applied Chemistry/Science or related discipline.
- At least 1 year of relevant laboratory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of good laboratory practices, GMP, and quality guidelines/regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, coordination, and multitasking skills.
- Independent, adaptable, and self-motivated with problem-solving ability.
- A strong team player with hands-on technical knowledge and excellent communication skills (written and oral).
