Job Summary:
A Junior QA Engineer assists in testing software applications to ensure they meet quality standards. They work under the guidance of senior QA engineers to identify bugs, perform test cases, and support the overall quality assurance process.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute test cases and document results for software applications.
- Identify, report, and track bugs or issues in collaboration with the development team.
- Assist in creating and updating test plans and test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Support automated testing efforts under supervision.
- Contribute to maintaining quality standards and best practices.
- Learn and adopt new QA tools, methodologies, and processes.
Skills & Competencies:- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA principles.
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Familiarity with testing tools (e.g., Jira, Selenium, TestRail) is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving mindset and curiosity for quality improvement.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Some internship or entry-level experience in software testing is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of programming or scripting is a plus.
