Job Description

We are Hiring: Junior - Production & Stage Management

Full-Time | Singapore (with overseas opportunities)

Open to Fresh Graduates / First Job Seekers

About Us

The Presenting Company (TPC) supports live productions across:

  • Concerts & music performances
  • Theatre & children's productions
  • Festivals & large-scale events
  • Corporate and community shows

With over 16 years of experience, we support productions from planning through to final execution, working with artists, organisations, and event partners in Singapore and internationally.

Beyond production, we are also involved in research and development for live shows, exploring how new ideas and technologies can enhance audience experiences.

We work behind the scenes to ensure every show runs smoothly from rehearsals to show day.

Building shows. Supporting people.

The Role

We are looking for a Junior team member to join our Production & Stage Management team.

This is an entry-level role open to fresh graduates, with training provided.

At the same time, it is a hands-on, real-world role and not a full desk-based position.

What You Will Do

  • Support rehearsals and live show execution
  • Assist stage managers backstage
  • Help with technical setup (sound, lights, equipment)
  • Coordinate schedules, logistics, and production needs
  • Work with performers, crew, and vendors
  • Support projects across Singapore and overseas
  • Handle real-time situations during show days
  • Be exposed to new ideas and approaches in live production and show development

Who We Are Looking For

No experience is required but attitude matters.

This role is suitable if you:

  • Are a fresh graduate exploring the events / theatre industry
  • Are curious about how shows are created and improved
  • Want hands-on experience instead of just office work
  • Are willing to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Take responsibility and follow through on tasks

You should be able to:

  • Work evenings, weekends, and show hours when required
  • Travel for overseas projects when needed
  • Stay calm under pressure and adapt on the go
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with the team

This role may not be suitable if you:

  • Prefer fixed 9–5 working hours
  • Prefer purely desk-based work
  • Are uncomfortable with physical or on-ground work
  • Get overwhelmed easily in fast-paced environments

A genuine interest in live performances, events, or the arts is important.

What You Will Gain

  • Real, hands-on experience in live productions
  • Exposure to professional shows, festivals, and international projects
  • Insight into how shows are developed and improved
  • Training in stage management and technical operations
  • A pathway to grow into:
  • Stage Manager
  • Production Manager
  • Technical roles

Important to Know

This role involves:

  • Long and irregular hours during show periods
  • Physical work (setup, moving equipment, on-ground tasks)
  • Fast-paced environments
  • Occasional overseas travel

On days without live shows, work will be office-based, supporting production planning, coordination, and preparation.

You will also undergo structured training to build skills in stage management, technical operations, and production workflows.

This role requires consistency both during show periods and preparation periods.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will go through:

1. Interview

A short conversation to understand your interest and fit.

2. Paid Trial (Show Days / Practical Session)

· Candidates will support 2 actual show days with the team

· You will be assigned basic tasks and experience the real working environment

· The team will assess your attitude, learning ability, and teamwork

These show days are paid at a daily rate

If no live shows are available during this period, a 1-day practical session will be conducted instead.

3. Final Decision

Based on both the interview and trial, we will confirm if the role is a good fit for both sides.
