About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Infrastructure Engineer with experience in Windows Server administration and infrastructure automation to support and maintain enterprise platform environments within the AWF (AppWorks Framework) domain.
The successful candidate will be responsible for server administration, system monitoring, Active Directory management, backup and recovery operations, and automation through scripting. This role offers the opportunity to work across both Windows and multi-platform environments while supporting critical business applications and infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and support Windows Server 2019 and above environments.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell to improve operational efficiency.
Monitor server performance, system health, and capacity utilization, and perform performance tuning activities.
Manage and support Active Directory services, including user and group administration.
Execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure system availability and data integrity.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents, service requests, and performance issues.
Support application deployments and platform maintenance activities.
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and support teams to ensure platform stability and reliability.
Assist in patch management, security compliance, and system upgrades.
Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support knowledge repositories.
Provide support for hybrid environments with exposure to Linux/Unix systems.
Required Skills
3-5 years of experience in infrastructure support, system administration, or platform engineering.
Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2019 and above.
Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
Experience with Active Directory administration.
Knowledge of server monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity management.
Experience in backup and recovery operations.
Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, firewalls, and load balancing.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills
⭐ Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL).
⭐ Exposure to Linux, Unix, or AIX operating systems.
⭐ Scripting knowledge in Bash and/or Python.
⭐ Experience with OpenText AppWorks.
⭐ Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and infrastructure management tools.
⭐ Relevant Microsoft or infrastructure-related certifications.
