The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Junior Finance Executive to join our team. In this role, you will manage financial accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting. You will be responsible for handling invoices and processing payments. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a understanding of financial principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
Job Responsibilities:
Malaysia Accounts (Full Scope):
. Manage full set of accounts for Malaysia entity, including timely month-end closings and financial reporting.
. Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to approval and compliance requirements.
. Manage payment schedules, prepare payment batches, and ensure timely disbursement via bank transfers.
. Perform supplier reconciliations and promptly resolve invoice discrepancies.
. Prepare and submit SST filings bi-monthly.
. Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
Singapore Accounts Support (Partial Scope - AP & AR):
. Assist with invoice issuance and collections follow-up for Singapore clients.
. Support processing of staff claims and vendor payments under Singapore operations.
. Conduct AR reconciliations and resolve customer payment issues as needed.
. Maintain accurate financial records for AP/AR and expense claims.
. Liaise with vendors and internal teams to manage inquiries or disputes.
. Perform ad-hoc tasks and support special projects assigned by Finance leaders
Requirements:
. Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
. Not more than 2 years of relevant accounting experience, with experience handling full sets of accounts preferred.
. Background in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
. Familiarity with Singapore's and Malaysia's accounting regulations is a plus.
. Proficiency in Xero is advantageous.
