What we're looking for

As a JUNIOR FINANCE ACCOUNTANT, you will support the finance team in ensuring accurate financial records, smooth day-to-day accounting operations, and compliance with company policies and financial regulations. You will gain hands-on exposure across various accounting functions while contributing to process improvements and supporting business operations across the region.

You will also work closely with internal stakeholders to provide timely financial information and operational support that contributes to the organisation's efficiency and growth.

Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting

  • Assist in maintaining the General Ledger in accordance with IFRS and GAAP, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting monthly close activities.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial statements (P/L, balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow).
  • Assist in managing Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
  • Prepare customer invoices, monitor billing discrepancies, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve any issues.
  • Support cash flow monitoring and, reporting
  • Assist with tax filings, statutory reporting, and audit preparation to ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Operations & Process Support

  • Support daily finance and accounting operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with regional finance teams and group finance to maintain reporting consistency and compliance with company standards.
  • Assist in implementing process improvements and maintaining internal controls to strengthen financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain proper financial documentation and records in accordance with company policies.

Business & Regional Support

  • Support financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
  • Assist with project settlement, closure, and sales commission calculations.
  • Support financial operations across the JAPAC region, ensuring compliance with local regulations and group standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and government authorities when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications

We're seeking someone who:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or MIA are advantageous but not essential.
  • Has 1-2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience fresh graduates with strong internship experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Exposure to APAC/JAPAC finance operations would be beneficial. Prior experience with SAP systems is highly advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial reporting tools.
  • Possesses a basic understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
