About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on IT Engineer to support infrastructure and systems operations. You will handle escalated technical issues, support servers and Microsoft 365 environments, and work closely with internal teams and vendors to resolve incidents.
This role is suitable for candidates with 3 years of IT support experience who are ready to step into Level 2 responsibilities.
Job Description
- Handle escalated tickets from Level 1 support
- Support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS & DHCP
- Administer Microsoft 365 / Azure AD (user & identity troubleshooting)
- Perform firewall & VPN rule support (under approved changes)
- Support virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V)
- Perform backup & restore operations
- Assist in server patching and maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot security alerts (EDR / endpoint-related issues)
- Prepare simple RCA and technical documentation
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3 years in desktop support / infrastructure support with admin exposure
- Experience with Windows Server & Active Directory
- Familiar with Microsoft 365 administration
- Basic firewall / VPN troubleshooting knowledge
- Exposure to virtualization or backup solutions
- Able to troubleshoot independently and document findings
- Basic scripting (PowerShell) is a plus
Good To Have
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or equivalent
- CompTIA Network+ / Security+
- ITIL Foundation
Working Arrangement
- Onsite / Hybrid (depending on project)
- May require occasional after-office support (rostered)
