Meinhardt also offers in-house facade access consultancy and leverages wider Meinhardt Group expertise in fields such as ESD (environmentally sustainable design) and fire engineering, creating a multidisciplinary setting for integrated facade design and engineering.

Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid Junior Engineer (Facade) role based in Singapore, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time.

The role involves assisting senior engineers in the design and analysis of facade systems, including preparation of drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.

The Junior Engineer will support project coordination, attend design meetings, and communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders such as architects, contractors, and suppliers.

Daily tasks include reviewing architectural and structural drawings, contributing to facade details and specifications, and helping to resolve technical issues during design and construction phases.

The role also includes learning and applying relevant codes and standards, supporting quality assurance checks, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes.

Qualifications

• Strong technical foundation in structural or civil engineering, architecture, or a related discipline, with interest in facade engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, and assist in facade design, detailing, and documentation.
• Proficiency with CAD or BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Fieldwire) and basic understanding of structural or facade analysis software is an advantage.
• Familiarity with building codes, standards, and principles of building physics, thermal performance, and weatherproofing is beneficial.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and external project stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Bachelor's or Polytechnic Diploma degree in Engineering Civil, Structural, or an equivalent field; prior internship or project experience in facades or building envelope is a plus.
• English speaking, writing is mandatory
• Advabtages in Mandarin, Malays, Tamil

• Ability to go up gondola / BMU / Boom lift / Scissor lift / be a trained rope access technician (we will pay for certification and training)
• Continuity of further training and certification like Facade Inspector or RTO / RE or Professional Engineer (we will pay and support this carrer progression)
