About the Role
We're on the lookout for a curious and motivated Data Analyst / Junior Data Scientist to join our team. If you enjoy working with data, love uncovering insights, and want to apply them to real-world problems, this role is for you. You'll get hands-on experience across data cleaning, analysis, visualization, and even dabble in exciting projects like chatbot building.
What You'll Be Doing
- Collect, clean, and organize data from different sources (including APIs and web scraping).
- Explore data to find patterns, trends, and opportunities.
- Build and share visualizations using Excel, R Studio, or Tableau.
- Work closely with teammates to deliver practical, data-driven insights.
- Help put together clear dashboards and presentation materials.
- Share findings and recommendations in a way that makes sense to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What We're Looking For
- A Master's degree in Statistics or a related field.
- Project experience - for example, building a chatbot with OpenAI resources.
- Skills in R, SAS, and Excel (bonus if you're learning SQL and Tableau).
- Strong data cleaning, wrangling, and visualization abilities.
- Comfortable communicating in Business Chinese with stakeholders in China and Taiwan.
It's a Plus If You Have
- Experience with APIs (like Google Routes API or NUSMods).
- Familiarity with GitHub or collaborative coding tools.
- Certifications in SAS (Global Certification Program) or Excel (Coursera).
- Willing on weekends, don't mind overtime for learning experience.
