About the Role
In this role, you will be a core member of a small but effective integrated regional team that will help HARMAN build and grow Asia Pacific's brand footprint.
This person will need to spearhead the creative vision for our Harman iconic brands. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative creative campaigns that resonate with our target audience across the diverse Asia Pacific region. This role will also serve as the critical link between our global brand vision and its on-the-ground execution, being responsible for translating high-level strategy into compelling creative concepts that resonate with diverse audiences, while also ensuring that the specific needs of regional markets and local distributors are met.
You are a right-brain marketer who can work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results with the goal of bringing best-in-class experiences to life for our consumer.
The ideal candidate is a proactive collaborator with a knack for cultural insights and a passion for driving creative excellence at every level of the organization.
You will report directly to the Marketing Manager APAC, and this is an independent contributor role. You will also be working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to drive brand and category growth.
What You Will Do
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive creative concepts for campaign and product launches across all marketing touchpoints that align with the brand's vision and marketing objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to (marketing, sales, product strategy, distributors / clients etc) develop creative requirements that are aligned with the business needs
Oversee the creation of compelling brand stories and messaging
Manage relationships with external creative agencies and in-house visual designers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely execution
Manage creative budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation
Manage the creative asset delivery timeline to ensure on time execution
Global Alignment & Strategy
Collaborate with the global brand team to develop and refine the overarching creative strategy for key launch priorities
Serve as the key liaison for creative matters between the global team and regional/local marketing groups
Ensure all regional and local creative work adheres to global brand standards and strategic direction.
Bring regional and local insights back to the global team to inform and evolve future creative strategies / current campaigns
Regional Management & Adaptation
Work with cross functional teams to understand market-specific goals, consumer behaviors, and cultural nuances
Adapt global creative concepts and campaigns to be culturally relevant and impactful for regional audiences
Develop clear and actionable creative briefs for regional teams, ensuring all necessary assets and guidance are provided
Facilitate workshops and creative sessions with regional teams to foster understanding and buy-in on new initiatives
Local Execution & Distributor Support
Work directly with in-country marketing teams and external distributors to understand their unique needs and challenges.
Work with the cross functional teams to:
Provide timely feedback and creative approvals on local-level content to ensure brand consistency and quality
Advise local teams on best practices for creative execution across various channels, including digital, social, and point-of-sale materials.
Champion creative problem-solving and provide hands-on support to help local teams and distributors overcome creative roadblocks for campaign launches
What You Need to Be Successful
3-5 years of experience in creative strategy or a similar role, with a focus on cross-market collaboration
Proven experience translating a global brand vision into successful local campaigns
An in-depth understanding of APAC market, consumer journey and trends, performance metrics
Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights and make insight-driven decisions.
Creative, innovative thinker. Detail-oriented, ensuring high-quality content production.
Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite)
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams across different geographies and cultures. Ability to work independently.
Experience in high-growth, fast-paced, and dynamic environments preferred.
Bonus Points if You Have
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
Prior experience in Consumer Electronics or FMCG industry with APAC experience.
Experience working with international teams and adapting to diverse cultural contexts.
Ability to juggle between the details and the big picture, manage multiple and competing projects and priorities.
A keen eye for detail.
Adaptable to ambiguity, changes, and be at the forefront to lead change in both actions and behaviour.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a culturally-diverse team environment, and understanding what it means to achieve success with others and through others.
Excellent communicator and able to perform well in a matrixed organization. Proven experience in influencing a cross-functional team.
Fluency in multiple languages.
