We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer to join our commercial design & build team. You will support the design and project teams in delivering creative and functional workplace environments, from concept development to project completion.
This role is ideal for someone who is eager to grow in commercial office design, with exposure to real projects and close collaboration with consultants, clients, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing design concepts, mood boards, and space planning layouts
- Prepare 2D drawings, 3D renderings, and presentationmaterials
- Support in material selection, finishes, and FF&E specification
- Work closely with the project and QS teams to ensure design feasibility and budget alignment
- Participate in site visits, measurements, and coordination meetings
- Assist in preparing tender drawings and construction documentation
- Ensure designs comply with local regulations and building codes (BCA/SCDF where applicable)
- Support project documentation and maintain organized design files
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Interior Design or related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in commercial or office interior design (fresh grads with a strong portfolio may be considered)
Proficient in:
- SketchUp / 3ds Max / similar 3D software
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Strong sense of design aesthetics and space planning
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Bonus Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience in Design & Build (D&B) projects
- Knowledge of materials, construction details, and site coordination
- Familiar with Microsoft tools (Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
- Basic understanding of sustainability / green design practices
