Junior Accountant

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• Basic understanding of accounting theory and principles
• Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Xero) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and results-driven with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail
• 1-3 years of accounting/AP/GL experience

Job Description

• Assist with invoice processing, vendor payments, and employee reimbursement operations
• Support month-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable (AP)
• Manage the full AP cycle, including purchase order processing, invoice verification, payment runs, expense claims, and vendor reconciliations
• Handle vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice and payment issues
• Maintain and update accounting records for related party companies, including transaction postings and account reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries
• Assist in intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Support payroll computation, GST reporting, and tax-related computations
• Liaise with external auditors and consultants to support annual statutory audits
• Assist in preparation of year-end financial reports together with the Company Secretary and ensure timely filing with IRAS and ACRA
• Work closely with the Finance team in preparing monthly management reports
• Perform ad-hoc accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned
