As a Journalist, you will be responsible for researching, investigating, and producing engaging local news stories. You will gather information through interviews, field reporting, and research, while presenting stories in a clear, concise, and compelling manner across our platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, investigate, and report on local news stories and current affairs
- Conduct interviews and gather information from relevant stakeholders and sources
- Produce accurate, timely, and engaging content for publication
- Identify emerging news angles and develop story ideas with a strong news sense
- Work closely with editors and team members to deliver quality journalism under tight timelines
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant discipline, preferably in Journalism, Mass Communication, Chinese Language, or related fields
- Prior relevant journalism, media, or editorial experience will be an advantage
- Effectively bilingual in Chinese and English (written and spoken), as this role supports a Chinese publication
- Passionate about news, current affairs, and journalism, with a strong curiosity and a keen nose for news
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds
- Resourceful, adaptable, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to manage pressure and irregular working hours
