Role Description

We are seeking a driven and resilient Sales & Business Development Intern to support lead generation and client acquisition efforts.

This is a sales-focused role designed for individuals who are comfortable with outreach, rejection, and performance targets. The primary objective of this role is to generate qualified leads and contribute to closing new business opportunities in sustainability consulting services.

Approximately 80% of the role will focus on outbound sales and client acquisition, with 20% supporting proposals and internal coordination. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a foundation in B2B sales, business development, and commercial growth within the sustainability sector.

1. Sales & Lead Generation (Primary Focus)

  • Conduct cold-calling, cold-emailing, and LinkedIn outreach to generate new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain targeted prospect lists
  • Follow up consistently with leads and schedule meetings
  • Qualify prospects based on company size, industry, and reporting needs
  • Track outreach performance and maintain CRM records
  • Support proposal preparation and commercial follow-ups
  • Assist in closing deals and achieving revenue targets

Primary KPI: Number of quality leads generated and converted into consulting clients

2. Proposal & Client support

  • Assist in preparing quotations and proposals
  • Support client onboarding and documentation collection
  • Coordinate internally to ensure smooth handover after deal closure
  • Prepare basic presentation materials and summary documents

Primary KPI: Timely and high-quality completion of client deliverables

3. Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline records
  • Support project documentation and reporting tasks when required
  • Assist with database organization and process documentation

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or recently completed a diploma in Business, Accountancy, Marketing, or related fields
  • Comfortable speaking to senior decision-makers
  • Resilient and able to handle rejection professionally
  • Target-driven and motivated by performance incentives
  • Organized and disciplined in tracking leads and follow-ups
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Suite

Good to Have:

  • Previous sales or telemarketing experience
  • Familiarity with B2B environments
  • Basic understanding of sustainability or ESG concepts

Availability and Compensation

  • Duration: 1 Apr 2026 - 30 Sept 2026
  • Commitment: 5-day work week
  • Compensation: $800/month
  • Commission: 7.5% of revenue generated from closed deals
