About The Role
LifeFlight Singapore Jet Air Ambulance services performs both rapid response and scheduled medical transports 24/7 from Singapore, Brisbane, Townsville and overseas International Airports. We operate world-class equipment and maintenance programs to support our dedicated Jet Air Ambulances.
Due to internal growth and development of the Air Ambulance service, we are looking for full-time Retrieval Physician based in Singapore.
Be part of our committed team working on our dedicated medically configured retrieval jets carrying a critical care doctor and intensive care flight nurse responding to international medical evacuations.
About You
To be considered for this exciting role, you must meet the following criteria under:
Qualifications
You must have completed your primary medical degree from a University recognised by the Singapore Medical Council or be currently registered with the Singapore Medical Council. Have completed specialist post graduate training and be on the specialist register for one of the following specialties.
- Emergency Medicine
- Anaesthesia
- Critical/Intensive Care Medicine
Experience
You would require to be a recognised Consultant and be able to work independently with no supervision. You will have a minimum eight (8) years post exit Consultant experience and three (3) months experience in each area of practice including: Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care at a recognised hospital or unit in a developed country will be required.
Must Have Requirements For The Retrieval Physician Role
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast moving 24/7 environment
- Deliver high-quality medical care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Work on a 24/7 on-call roster to provide essential medical services
- Collaborate with a passionate, professional team dedicated to patient care
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Residency. We are prioritising local candidates and will consider sponsorship for non-resident candidates if necessary.
- Be fully vaccinated against MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, Pertussis, Hepatitis B and/or any other vaccination requirements as to the World Health Organisation.
- The ability to obtain a Seletar Airside Pass
Desirable qualities but not mandatory for the Retrieval Physician Role.
- Early Management of Sever Trauma (EMST) certification
- Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) certification
- Extended Focused Abdominal Scanning for Trauma (eFAST) certification
- Major incident medical management and support (MIMMS) certification
- Pre-Hospital Care Experience
- Remote and Rural Medicine Experience
- Completed courses in Ultrasound
