JD- Electrical Service Engineer

1. Installation and Commissioning:

o Install electrical systems, equipment, and machinery as per technical specifications and safety regulations.

o Assist in the commissioning of electrical systems and ensure they are operating correctly.

o Ensure all installations are in compliance with relevant codes and standards.

2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

o Conduct routine maintenance checks on electrical systems to ensure efficient functioning.

o Diagnose faults, troubleshoot electrical problems, and repair or replace faulty components.

o Provide preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns and optimize system performance.

3. Customer Support:

o Offer on-site and remote technical support to customers, ensuring customer satisfaction.

o Respond to customer queries and resolve electrical issues promptly.

o Provide training and guidance to customers on proper use and maintenance of electrical systems.

4. System Upgrades:

o Assess and recommend upgrades to existing electrical systems and equipment.

o Implement system improvements to enhance functionality, safety, and efficiency.

5. Safety & Compliance:

o Follow all safety protocols, electrical codes, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

o Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments on electrical systems and equipment.

o Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry-specific electrical standards.

6. Documentation & Reporting:

o Maintain accurate records of service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions.

o Prepare and submit detailed reports on findings, repairs, and service schedules.

o Maintain an inventory of electrical components and tools.

o Monitor progress on the works carried out and coordinate with customer and shipyard on site during Repair and Commissioning Job.

o Prepare timesheets and service report upon completion of all works and ensure all document is properly endorsed/verified by customer and uploaded to sever on time.

7. Collaboration & Coordination:

o Work closely with project managers, technical teams, and clients to understand service requirements.

o Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for spare parts and service tools.

o Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective project execution.

8. Continuous Improvement:

o Stay updated with the latest electrical technologies, techniques, and industry best practices.

o Attend training and certification programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

o Contribute ideas for improving service efficiency and customer satisfaction

Required Skills & Qualifications:

. Education:

o A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.

o Certification in electrical systems or maintenance (e.g., NEC, NFPA) is a plus.

. Experience:

o Proven experience as an Electrical Service Engineer or similar role (typically 5 years above).

o Hands-on experience with electrical systems, wiring, motors, circuit boards, and related components.

o Familiarity with diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and electrical schematics.

. Technical Skills:

o Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components.

o Proficient in using electrical diagnostic tools, multimeters, and testing devices.

o Understanding of electrical safety regulations and standards.

. Soft Skills:

o Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

o Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).

o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

o Customer-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality service

Physical Requirements:

o Ability to lift and carry heavy electrical components and tools.

o Ability to work in confined spaces or at heights when required.

o Comfortable working in various weather conditions for outdoor jobs.

o Commissioning, start-up, and testing of mechanical, hydraulic, control system and electric integration system on new build vessel.

o Recommendation of Spare Parts or solutions to customer during Repair or Troubleshoots Works.

o Constant monitoring of the progress and quality on the works carried out and coordinate with customer and shipyard on site during Repair and Commissioning Job.

o Ensure our Equipment's perform as per requirement and satisfaction of Customer.
