We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead / Architect to drive the modernization of legacy banking systems into scalable microservices-based platforms. The role involves leading architecture design, translating complex legacy logic into modern services, and guiding engineering teams to deliver secure and high-performance financial transaction systems.
Define technical architecture, technology stack, and integration patterns for modern banking platforms.
Lead modernization and migration of legacy systems into microservices architecture.
Translate and migrate complex business logic from legacy systems into maintainable Spring Boot microservices.
Design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable services using Spring Boot and Spring Batch.
Lead development teams and provide technical direction in Agile/Scrum environments.
Implement CI/CD, testing strategies, and engineering best practices.
Design APIs and interfaces to integrate with core banking, reporting, and data platforms.
Collaborate with business analysts and legacy system SMEs for accurate logic translation.
Ensure systems meet security, compliance, scalability, and performance requirements.
Act as a hands-on contributor through code reviews and high-quality development.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years in software development with at least 3+ years in Technical Lead or Architect roles.
Experience in Financial Services or Banking domain preferred.
Strong expertise in:
Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA
Spring Batch for high-volume processing
PostgreSQL database design and performance tuning
Event-driven architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ)
CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, Kubernetes
Experience modernizing monolithic or legacy systems into microservices.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with high-volume financial transaction systems.
Exposure to mainframe or COBOL system modernization projects.
