Java Software Engineer

An independent developer is seeking a freelance Java Developer to collaborate on a personal web development project. The role involves working with Java 11/17, Spring Boot, and REST APIs, with PostgreSQL or MySQL as the database layer. This is a remote position and the engagement is expected to span 23 months. Requirements

• Proficiency in Java 11 or 17 and Spring Boot framework
• Strong experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Based in Europe and available to work remotely
• Ability to commit to a 23 month project with flexible scheduling
• Familiarity with e-commerce architectures like Broadleaf Commerce is a plus
