About the Company:

Our client is a Singapore-based Insurance organisation.

. Role: JAVA Software Engineer (12-month Contract)

. Remuneration: Upto SGD 6,200 per month

. Location: Singapore

Primary Responsibilities:

You will support Solution Architect of new project to develop and deliver solutions to meet business needs. In this role, you will be working with in-house team and vendor team to provide solutions, do development and troubleshooting, and support CI/CD delivery.

. Work with in-house team and vendor team to develop and implement deliverables to support Business needs.

. Liaise with the infrastructure support, development team and integrated application teams for solution, SIT/UAT deployment and testing.

. Support project deliverables and make sure all the issues from SIT/UAT/PRD resolved via fixing root cause

. Ensure adherence of development practice (Waterfall and Agile), standards and updated documentation

Experience:

. Core Language: proficiency in Java with practical experience in Spring Boot. Exposure to Spring ecosystem tools (e.g., Spring Data, Spring Security) is a plus. (more than 3-year experience required)

. Microservices Development: Experience developing and maintaining microservices (e.g., REST APIs, basic service communication patterns).

. Cloud & Containers: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization basics (Docker). Kubernetes experience is optional.

. API Development: Proficient in building RESTful APIs. Basic understanding of API design principles.

. Database Skills: Working knowledge of SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.

. DevOps Basics: Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and basic DevOps workflows.

Professional / Trade Qualification:

. Certified Java Developer is anadvantage.

. Any Cloud certification is anadvantage.

Computer Proficiency:

. J2EE, Maven, Web Services, Node JS

. Oracle DB, MS SQL DB

. AWS Cloud

Education / Language:

. Diploma/Degree holder in Information Technology, Info Systems orequivalent.
