Java Developer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide application maintenance and production support for Java-based enterprise applications.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects, incidents, and production issues within agreed SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
• Monitor application performance, system health, and batch processes to ensure smooth operations.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and implement enhancements or change requests.
• Develop, test, and deploy bug fixes and minor feature enhancements.
• Collaborate with business users, support teams, QA, and infrastructure teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Review application logs, database queries, and system alerts to identify and address problems proactively.
• Participate in release management, deployment activities, and post-release support.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and operational procedures.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and best practices.
• Support system upgrades, patching activities, and application modernization initiatives where required.
• Participate in on-call support and provide after-hours support when necessary.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in JAVA/J2EE Technologies.
• At least 3-5 years of experience writing code using languages such as (but not limited to) J2EE, Java, PL/SQL, REST API, microservices.
• Some team leading experience.
• Must have Hands-on experience with Java Struts, Spring, and Hibernate enterprise frameworks.
• Worked with Version Control Systems like SVN (Subversion), GIT.
• Minimum experience of 3 or more full SDLC for web application projects.

Below mentioned skills/experiences are good to have:

• Experience in Build Automation Tools like Jenkins, ANT, Maven, Gradle, etc. will be an advantage.
• Advance understanding of modern software development methodologies (Object)
• Advance understanding of Software Testing methodologies, scripting, and tools
• Advance understanding of RDBMS databases such as Oracle, Oracle Golden Gate, Data Lake, DB2, MS SQL, MY SQL, RDS
