Java Developer (Spring Boot & Kafka)

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with strong experience in Spring Boot, Microservices, and Apache Kafka to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have experience building cloud-ready applications, developing REST APIs, and working in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend applications.

Build scalable Microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Framework.

Develop and consume RESTful APIs.

Implement Apache Kafka for event-driven architecture and real-time messaging.

Integrate applications with databases and third-party systems.

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.

Perform unit testing, integration testing, and troubleshoot application issues.

Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.

Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, QA teams, and DevOps engineers.

Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards are followed.

Support application deployment through CI/CD pipelines.

Work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Required Skills

5+ years of experience in Java application development.

Strong knowledge of Java 8/11/17.

Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Framework.

Experience developing Microservices architecture.

Strong experience with Apache Kafka (Producer, Consumer, Kafka Streams).

Experience building RESTful APIs.

Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA.

Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

Familiarity with Git, Maven, and Gradle.

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Knowledge of Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.

Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills

Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Knowledge of Redis, MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases.

Experience with messaging systems and event-driven architecture.

Banking or Financial Services domain experience is an advantage.

Knowledge of security frameworks such as OAuth2, JWT, or Spring Security.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Java or Spring certifications are an added advantage.
