JOB OBJECTIVE

The VP / SVP – Consumer Digital Platforms & Experience Engineering will lead the strategy, architecture and engineering of Northern Arc's consumer-facing digital platforms. The incumbent will be responsible for building scalable mobile-first technology platforms that deliver intuitive, personalized and engaging customer experiences across digital channels.

The role will drive platform engineering, customer experience architecture, growth technology, personalization capabilities and digital engagement while enabling rapid product innovation and business scalability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Define the technology vision and roadmap for consumer digital platforms and customer experience engineering.
• Lead engineering for mobile applications, web platforms, customer onboarding journeys and digital engagement capabilities.
• Build scalable B2C platforms supporting millions of customer interactions across multiple digital channels.
• Drive platform modernization through cloud-native architecture, APIs, microservices and modern engineering frameworks.
• Establish customer experience architecture supporting personalization, recommendations, customer journeys and engagement.
• Partner with Product, Design, Marketing, Business and Analytics teams to deliver differentiated digital experiences.
• Lead implementation of customer identity, authentication, notifications, campaign platforms and engagement ecosystems.
• Drive engineering excellence across frontend, backend, mobile engineering, platform engineering, DevOps and QA.
• Ensure platform performance, availability, security and operational resilience.
• Build reusable engineering platforms, shared services and developer enablement capabilities.
• Manage technology investments, vendor partnerships and platform governance.
• Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, customer-centricity and continuous engineering improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science. MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of technology leadership experience with significant experience building large-scale consumer digital platforms.
• Proven experience leading mobile-first engineering organizations and customer-facing technology platforms.
• Strong expertise in digital experience platforms, frontend architecture, APIs, cloud platforms and microservices.
• Experience building personalization, customer engagement, growth and digital marketing technology platforms.
• Deep understanding of scalable distributed systems, cloud-native engineering and platform architecture.
• Strong leadership experience managing large engineering teams across multiple functions.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and strategic leadership skills.
• Experience driving enterprise digital transformation and customer experience modernization.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery, DevSecOps, engineering governance and platform reliability.
