Java Application Developer (Spring Boot)

This role focuses on Java-based backend application development using Spring Boot, supporting business feature development, maintenance, and change requests. The developer will contribute to full SDLC activities including requirement translation, coding, testing, and production support.

This position is more application-focused, with strong emphasis on reusable component development, CI/CD processes, and structured delivery within a team environment. Payment transaction flow knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.

Mandatory Skills

3+ years - Java Application Development - Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise backend applications using Java.

3+ years - Spring Boot Framework - Development of RESTful APIs, microservices, dependency injection, security configuration and transaction management.

2+ years - Red Hat Linux Environment - Experience deploying and supporting Java applications in Linux environments (RHEL).

2-3+ years - MySQL Database - Schema design, query optimization and transactional data handling.

2+ years - CI/CD & DevOps Tools - Hands-on experience with Bitbucket, Jenkins and Jira for version control, build pipelines and issue tracking.

2+ years - Functional & Technical Documentation - Experience writing technical specs, design documents and unit test plans.

2+ years - Application Integration & UAT Support - Participation in SIT, UAT and production deployment activities.

2+ years - Debugging & Production Support - Ability to troubleshoot pre-production and post-production issues.

Payment Systems Knowledge (Advantage) - Understanding of online transaction flows, authorization lifecycle and reconciliation processes. Good to have

Cryptography Algorithms (Advantage) - Basic understanding of encryption, hashing and secure communication protocols. Good to have

2+ years - Independent & Team Collaboration Skills - Ability to work in dynamic environments with minimal supervision.
