Japanese Translator

We are looking for a Japanese Freelance Translator to join us on a contract basis. This role plays an important part in ensuring that our Japanese and English content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with the style of our games and digital products.

About the Role

As a Japanese Freelance Translator, you will support our teams by translating content between Japanese and English for a few ongoing projects.

You will work closely with our internal teams to ensure translation accuracy, correct terminology usage, and timely delivery. While this is a freelance role, you will be treated as an important partner and will play a key role in delivering high-quality language content to our players.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate written content between Japanese and English with accuracy and consistency.
• Review, edit, and proofread translations to ensure quality.
• Work closely with our regional teams to understand project context and ensure correct tone and style.
• Manage deadlines and deliver completed translations within expected timelines.
• Support coordination or communication tasks

What We're Looking For

• JLPT N3 or above (mandatory requirement).
• Strong written proficiency in both Japanese and English as required for the nature of this role
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good attention to detail and strong sense of ownership over assigned tasks.
• Ability to manage timelines and deliver completed work on schedule.
• Familiarity with anime or games is an added advantage and will help with understanding context, tone, and terminology.
