Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for a Japanese Transcriber. The Japanese Transcriber will be responsible for listening to audio material and creating accurate transcriptions in Japanese. Duties include ensuring precise language use, formatting, and consistency, adhering to deadlines, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. The role may also involve light editing and verifying transcription accuracy, as well as collaborating with project teams to meet client needs.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in written and spoken Japanese, with strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances
- Experience in transcription and audio-to-text services, with excellent typing and listening skills
- Attention to detail and ability to provide error-free transcriptions and formatting consistency
- Familiarity with transcription tools, audio editing software, or related technologies
- Ability to manage deadlines effectively and work independently in a remote setup
- Understanding of data protection and confidentiality requirements
- Previous experience in transcription for business, media, or legal content is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or relevant certifications in Linguistics, Japanese Language, or a related field preferred
