We are seeking an experienced IT Vendor Management & Technical Governance Manager to oversee the delivery of technology services provided by external partners. This role serves as the key liaison between business stakeholders and third-party technology providers, ensuring solutions are delivered in line with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, security expectations, and contractual obligations within the health insurance and reinsurance environment.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring service excellence, driving vendor accountability, and translating business needs into effective technology outcomes.
Vendor Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary contact for external technology service providers, fostering productive and collaborative partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor stakeholders to drive delivery excellence and long-term value.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to agreed contractual terms, service levels, and operational commitments.
- Lead issue resolution activities and coordinate the timely remediation of service, technical, or contractual concerns.
- Evaluate business needs and convert them into detailed functional and technical requirements for vendor execution.
- Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and technology partners to ensure clear expectations and successful project outcomes.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Establish and maintain effective oversight mechanisms for third-party technology engagements.
- Ensure all vendor-delivered solutions comply with organizational policies, industry regulations, security frameworks, and data governance requirements.
- Monitor risks associated with vendor activities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Conduct periodic reviews to assess compliance, service quality, and operational effectiveness.
- Oversee the implementation of technology changes to ensure they meet performance, reliability, security, and data integrity requirements.
- Coordinate validation and testing activities to confirm that solutions satisfy business and technical expectations before release.
- Review technical deliverables and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance vendor performance and delivery quality.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records relating to vendor contracts, governance processes, technical requirements, risk assessments, and performance evaluations.
- Prepare management reports and dashboards highlighting vendor performance, compliance status, key risks, and improvement actions.
- Provide regular updates to leadership teams on strategic vendor initiatives and operational outcomes.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in IT vendor management, service delivery management, technology governance, or a similar function.
- Experience managing external technology providers within highly regulated industries, ideally health insurance, reinsurance, financial services, or healthcare.
- Strong understanding of information security principles, data governance practices, service management frameworks, and technology risk management.
- Proven track record of managing vendor performance, contractual obligations, and service level agreements.
