We are seeking an experienced ITTest Manager / Lead with strong QA/QC expertise and proven leadership in managing high-performing testing teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test planning, test design, test execution, and defect management within Agile environments-preferably in the banking or financial services domain.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed analysis on requirements and perform break-down to create Test flows/Test Scenarios.
- Create Test Flows (impacting/pass-through applications) & Test Scenarios / Test cases from requirement.
- Ensure steps in test cases are clearly document and capture necessary validation steps for impacting application(s).
- Create & own Master Test Plan and ensure it is periodically updated with necessary information on confluence.
- Create Test cases in Jira and execute the same during execution phase / sprint.
- Any defects identified during testing should be validated and recorded as Bug in Jira. Ensure that defects are not created for Test data discrepancy.
- Create and manage test data and/or ensure partner applications are informed of test data needs.
- Raise requests & secure access for all necessary/required applications for testing simulations.
- Ensure 100% clarity is ascertained while document test-cases, no assumptions. If there is need for assumption, it should be document/called out & validated with PM/TDM.
- Create document on all KTs being received or exclusive information from other clearings/partner applications, which can be used for future testing's.
- Engage with service provider test/development teams as necessary & understand process, validate test-cases.
- Follow standard Testing and defect management guidelines, clarify when in doubt, follow Agile environment and principles.
- Ensure that representation on project calls is balanced with no impact to project deliverables and timelines. Any clash between deliverable & project call should be announced in advance.
Requirements:
- Have at least 6 years of experience in software testing and QA/QC, with at least 4 years in a Test Manager or Lead role.
- Strong leadership skills with past experience managing a testing team
- Strong understanding of end-to-end testing, test design techniques, regression testing, and integration testing.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and test management tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage expectations across cross-functional teams.
- Preferably possess relevant testing experience in Banking domain
- Past experience in payments or ISO 20022 related projects will be an advantage
