IT System Engineer

Job Description:

• Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers.
• Perform Microsoft Server OS installation, upgrades, and downgrades as required.
• Manage server data migration and ensure minimal downtime during transitions.
• Setup and configure VMware or Hyper-V environments.
• Install, configure, and maintain SQL databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Plan and execute database migrations, upgrades, and backups.
• Build and maintain server clusters for high availability and performance.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Ubuntu Linux servers.
• Manage and secure both Windows and Linux environments.
• Install, configure, and manage NAS systems, including backup strategies and data recovery.
• Setup, configuration and maintenance of Microsoft 365
• Desktop/laptop setup, email configuration/archives & data migration
• Ubuntu & Window Cluster setup & Configuration
• Install MPI libraries, Python, Open FOAM, Tensor flow
• Install ANSYS software
• Install and configuration for OVX NVIDIA servers

Requirements

• Have strong communication skills to interact with customers.
• Hands-on experience with server setup, OVX NVIDIA servers, ANSYS software configuration, Microsoft service OS & Ubuntu installation/downgrade.
• Have knowledge and hands on experience in Linux server such as Ubuntu.
• Knowledge & experience in server clustering, virtualization (VM-aware setup), and system migration.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, operating systems, databases, and networking.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple IT projects simultaneously.
• Have strong IT knowledge to provide IT solutions to customers.
