Effissimo Capital Management Pte Ltd is a fund management firm based in Singapore. We are seeking an IT Support & Operations Associate to support and execute day-to-day office IT operations, including IT infrastructure, cloud environment, cybersecurity, compliance, telephony and communication systems, as well as meeting room equipment and conferencing systems, and other technology-related matters.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English are required, as the role involves frequent communication in Japanese with business stakeholders in Japan, including meetings, email correspondence, and documentation.
The role requires hands-on experience and a strong understanding of office IT infrastructure, Microsoft cloud environments including Azure and Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, PBX and telephony systems, as well as conferencing systems such as Zoom and Teams.
It also requires familiarity with Singapore financial regulatory and audit requirements, as well as information systems and data management used in fund management operations.
Support and manage day-to-day office IT operations, including user support, endpoint management, server administration,network support, system troubleshooting, hardware and software management, and coordination with external IT vendors.
Act as the primary internal IT contact and handle IT matters directly. Where necessary, consult external vendors for specialist advice, investigation, escalation support, project implementation,and technical validation.
Support and maintain servers, network equipment, firewalls, endpoint security tools, backup systems, access controls,and related operational procedures.
Support the operation of Microsoft cloudservices, including Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
Operate and improve identity management,conditional access, multi-factor authentication, device management, cloudsecurity, backup, log review, and permission management in line with Microsoft best practices.
Administer Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, Windows endpoints, and related security and compliance features.
Apply Microsoft best practices to improve productivity, security, governance, and operational efficiency.
Support the operation and administration of office PBX, IP phones, fixed lines, voice gateways, phone number management, call recording, meeting room phones, video conferencing systems, Teams Phone, Zoom, and cloud PBX services.
Coordinate with telecom, PBX, and conferencing vendors for incident handling, configuration changes, user lifecycle management, equipment upgrades, and maintenance.
Prepare, test, and support AV and conferencing systems for board meetings, investment committee meetings, management meetings, investor meetings, and audit meetings.
Perform pre-meeting checks (connectivity, audio/video, presentations), provide live support during meetings, and conduct post-meeting reviews and improvements.
Assist with cybersecurity monitoring,initial investigation, log review, alert triage, and first-level incident assessment.
Support initial containment and coordinate with external incident response or forensic vendors when required.
Support IT compliance activities related to Singapore financial regulations, internal audits, and external audits.
Maintain appropriate IT documentation,evidence, procedures, control records, and system information required foraudit and compliance purposes.
Understand IT control expectations relevant to financial institutions, including cybersecurity, outsourcing, access management, data protection, backup, business continuity, audit evidence, and vendor oversight.
Provide first-level support for systems used in trading and operations, including issue triage, root-cause analysis, vendor escalation, and resolution tracking.
Manage and coordinate with IT, cloud, telecom, cybersecurity, and other service providers to ensure timely support, incident resolution, maintenance, and project delivery.
Maintain accurate records of IT assets, user accounts, configurations, licenses, network diagrams, phone systems, cloud environments, procedures, vendor contacts, and audit evidence.
Provide timely support, troubleshooting, guidance, and training to users across IT systems, Microsoft platforms, cloud services, and communication tools.
IT support for Japanese staff, support for Japanese-language environments across various trading systems and troubleshooting or coordination related to connectivity issues with portfolio companies in Japan may be required. Therefore, the role requires the ability to communicate effectively and professionally in Japanese.
-Relevant IT qualifications or hands-on experience in IT support, operations, infrastructure, or cloud environments
-Experience in financial services or regulated industries is an advantage
-Hands-on experience with servers, networks, endpoints, cybersecurity tools, Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows, IAM, backup, and asset management
-Understanding of Microsoft best practices (Azure, Entra ID, Intune, M365 security & compliance)
-Basic experience with PBX, telephony, Teams Phone, Zoom, and meeting room AV systems
-Experience supporting high-stakes meetings is an advantage
-Basic to intermediate knowledge of cybersecurity operations (log review, alert triage, incident handling)
-Understanding of Singapore regulatory and audit expectations
-Familiarity with trading systems, market data, and fund operations IT environments
-Strong troubleshooting and vendor coordination skills
-Ability to work independently and manage IT without full-time onsite vendor support
-Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and documentation discipline
-Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English
