Plan, initiate, and manage IT projects (e.g., SharePoint, eGIRO, new banking systems, Tech Refresh) ensuring they meet timelines, budget constraints, and project specifications.
Select appropriate methodologies and tools, manage project risks, and ensure all project milestones are achieved.
Liaise with project vendors to coordinate and oversee project delivery.
Development Oversight:
Lead the development of new software applications (e.g., Banking software) and systems, including requirement gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
Ensure quality and functionality of the software and systems meet the organizational standards.
Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze the work plan for the department, identifying key areas for improvement and optimization.
Write detailed reports on project progress, department performance, and other relevant metrics.
Identify the types of reports to be submitted from the department and ensure timely and accurate submission.
Team Leadership:
Vendor management: Manage and communicate with vendors such as developers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Ensure continuous skill development and provide training to team members and relevant staff involved in IT projects.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Liaise with internal stakeholders to determine their technology needs and ensure IT projects align with the overall business strategy.
Communicate project status, challenges, and outcomes to stakeholders effectively.
Innovation and Improvement:
Research and implement new technologies that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations.
Proactively seek out opportunities for technological improvements and present recommendations to senior management.
Compliance and Best Practices:
Ensure all IT practices comply with regulatory standards and company policies.
Maintain thorough documentation of all projects and change management processes to ensure transparency and compliance.
