Duties
- You will conduct daily system monitoring, verifying the continuity, integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of work.
- You will install, configure, operate and maintain External Cooperation Office (ECO) Communication System Software and related infrastructure.
- You will assist Information Assurance Officer with IAVA, CND and INFOCON programs by assuring systems are configured within Department of Defense (DoD) Directives and Policy.
- You will plan for system software upgrades/refresh in coordination with the site lead.

- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code of 451, System Administrator and 441 Network Operations, the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Management Programs.
- You must obtain the foundation qualification within nine months and the residential qualifications within 12 months of appointment as described in DoDM 8140.03 for DCWF role of 451-System Administrator and 441-Network Operations.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing analysis, programming, and maintenance of automated and manual systems.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D.
or
equivalent doctoral degree.

Priority consideration will be given to military spouse preference and family member preference eligible residing in the commute area of the duty location for this position. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.
Military Spouses and Family Members may apply 30 days before their anticipated arrival date. However, they will not receive preference until arrival at the foreign location. Additional documentation may be required prior to granting preference.
