IT Security Officer (ITSO)

Role Summary:
The IT Security Officer (ITSO) will act as a cybersecurity subject matter expert, supporting system owners and the Cybersecurity team to ensure secure, compliant IT operations across on-premise and cloud environments (GDC, GCC, GCC+). The role focuses on security compliance, vulnerability management, incident response, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform system security reviews, hardening checks, and risk assessments based on benchmarks (e.g. CIS).

• Develop, review, and maintain security SOPs and hardening baselines.

• Monitor and respond to security alerts (phishing, malware, AV alerts).

• Support audits, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing activities.

• Review and track findings from CSPM tools (e.g. Cloudscape) and coordinate remediation with system owners and infrastructure teams.

• Provide security advice and risk-based recommendations for new projects and systems.

• Prepare monthly security status reports and conduct security awareness training.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.

• Minimum 2 years experience in cloud and infrastructure security (cloud & on-prem, preferably GCC).

• Security certification required: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA.

• Experience with security platforms such as Azure Log Analytics, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Security Hub, Microsoft Defender for Cloud.

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
