Role Summary:
The IT Security Officer (ITSO) will act as a cybersecurity subject matter expert, supporting system owners and the Cybersecurity team to ensure secure, compliant IT operations across on-premise and cloud environments (GDC, GCC, GCC+). The role focuses on security compliance, vulnerability management, incident response, and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform system security reviews, hardening checks, and risk assessments based on benchmarks (e.g. CIS).
Develop, review, and maintain security SOPs and hardening baselines.
Monitor and respond to security alerts (phishing, malware, AV alerts).
Support audits, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing activities.
Review and track findings from CSPM tools (e.g. Cloudscape) and coordinate remediation with system owners and infrastructure teams.
Provide security advice and risk-based recommendations for new projects and systems.
Prepare monthly security status reports and conduct security awareness training.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
Minimum 2 years experience in cloud and infrastructure security (cloud & on-prem, preferably GCC).
Security certification required: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA.
Experience with security platforms such as Azure Log Analytics, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Security Hub, Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
